Adjustment From Play to Work

Today is the first day of school as my life as a grade 12 student commences. All throughout the summer, I never knew that I would feel much of the sadness that had stricken me earlier at school. It seemed to be a ‘separation anxiety’ from the summer vacation that just passed. There was a dire alteration from relaxation into obligation. It is odd, indeed, to attribute the start of another school year to sadness. Never was I consumed by tumult just because of school days, but unusual it truly is, to have been indisposed by it earlier.

Because of the turmoil that I could not contain, I consequently decided to go home. Not even half of the day was spent in school. I left the school at around ten o’ clock in the morning and made some other personal errands out of the school, then went home thereafter — whereupon I was supposedly be returning back to school.

And as I arrived home, I could not help but burst into desolation. I played songs of praises to the Lord, and could not stop in shedding tears. Nevertheless, just as the usual, I danced for the Lord regardless of the inner peace being shattered.

To all the students who, in one way or another, undergo through this sort of emotional peril, there may seem a vast longevity of your stay in the school, but as you go on, you would overlook how quick time passes. And along the way, hardships will arise, and sacrifices shall be undertaken — but nothing will ever be easy without your faith in God.

Faith ensues courage. Not the courage that arouses vanity, but the courage that is attained through the trust in Him.

And again, I am soothed by writing the sentiments of the heart.

Glory to God for His everlasting kindness and guidance! Thanks be to Him for helping me through and through!
