I Found My Inner Child

I found my inner child & injured my middle-aged self. Okay, I frequently act childish, but this was especially fun. Perhaps my inner child was lost. I do have a terrible sense of direction, after all. I’ve never been to this very popular tourist attraction, and our son is the right age to really enjoy something like this.

One Tip to Better Story Writing

I have been writing stories since I do not know when. It has been a great way to work and enhance my creativity. In the beginning, it was all fun and games as I wrote it for myself. Once it became a profession, I noticed people starting to question the quality of my stories. I did not know what happened.

The stories sounded perfect to my naive ears. Somehow my clients did not feel the same. It became tough to convince and sell the story. I believed in the story, though they never got it. But it took me a few weeks to realise that the issue was me, not them.

I had been writing all the stories from the point of view of the Hero, the lead, or whatever you call the main character. I put myself in his/her position and plotted the story. This made the lead the most righteous person who is invincible, multi-talented, and without any negatives. The lead became a role model personified with no flaws, whatsoever.

So, do not be the hero of your story!

Take a step back and look the characters you are creating. Look at them from different perspectives. You will be able to develop your characters with a proper definition. Try and see the change for yourself. The characters will be well rounded and compliment each other.

I changed the way I write. I started looking at the characters from a third-person perspective. It helped me develop characters that are realistic with flaws and vulnerability. Since then, my clients have been happy with my work. In turn, making me happy.
